Dick  -  You are correct  -  I will be having a Breaded Tenderloin in about 45 Minutes

Susie  -  Nice picture of You & John  -  Better get ready for that Tenderloin (Schweineschnitzel)  -  I am on vacation (can you tell).  Talk to you later - GO BRONCOS.

Merry Christmas 🎄 to all. May we all have a great 2018!!!!

Dick Garrelts

Frank,  I hope you got your fill on Schweineschnitzel, since we probably won't be having a German Lutheran Schnitzel mini in January. It would be too close to this year's ANNUAL ROWDY NITE and REUNION FEST  Only about a month away !!

Some details are yet to be determined, but soon to be announced.

Safe travels, Mole.  Enjoyed the visit as always.

If you haven't followed The ROWDY Section Still Cares! progress;

https://kps.z2systems.com/np/clients/kps/campaign.jsp?campaign=85&&test=true

or;     https://www.kearneypublicschools.org/foundation/ways-to-give

The $25,000 Scholarship Goal is 43% met at  $10,899.70  thanks to the generosity of Bob Elliott in honor of Bea, "the Mother of the Rowdys".

As you recall, the Rowdy Fund was started at the Orgy mini hosted by Sheri (good time!)  Thanks to all who contributed over the last 2 years.  Also, MANY THANKS !!  to Cindy WC for her work with the Foundation.

Brownie gets credit for 69 cents, and Schick added a penny for the .70 - That's the Rowdy Spirit!

A late Merry Christmas to all and wishing everyone a Blessed and Happy New Year!!

Happy Birthday to all the December and January friends who are celebrating their special day!!! We have all reached the monumental "65" by now!!!

Congratulations Dick and Mimi on welcoming a new Grandson into the world. Treasure every precious little baby snuggle you get, as it seems these grandbabies grow up just too fast!

Stay warm and safe in this "Winter Wonderland" we are experiencing!!!

I'm cold  Barbie !!!

12/28/17 09:57 PM #7773

Dick Garrelts

Thanks, Barbie.  Trouble is, I'm missing too many baby snuggles already.  Maybe having the kids live in the basement wouldn't be all bad.... naw!

It's an 800 mile trek for me to get a snuggle, and well worth the trip. I can grab a Jaegerschnitzel along the way - and another on the way back!

Congrats on getting the #7777 post.

You ain't cold yet, Danny.   Wait until this weekend!

You know, if Blanton could post, he'd call us a bunch of wimps.

I think we should consider a Polar Bear Plunge mini to prove him wrong.  What do you say, Frank?  Are you in?

69ers still at 8611   -   only 831 to catch 'em!

Dick  -  If you're wanting Blanton to respond about the cold  -  he doesn't know  -  he's probably in Mexico.

Danny  -  I'm cold too - in Vincennes,Indiana it is supposed to have a high today of 23*   -  tomorrow it is supposed to be 15* for a high  -  We'll be leaving out of Evansville tomorrow at 3:05 and we're going back to Ft. Worth which isn't much better  -  20* for New Years Eve  -  That being said  -  HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!  Talk to you later.  GO BRONCOS.

How about a polar plunge to start the New Year. Dick and I will chop a hole in the ice any takers ?  I will provide all the Schnapps .

12/29/17 05:10 PM #7777

Dick Garrelts

Shouldn't be a problem finding an ice hole here ...

I'll take you up on the Schnapps though.

If Blanton is in Mexico, he's not as dumb as I give him credit for.

I won't ask if he has his Green Card.   That might be racist.

I hope Vicki had the good sense to stay in Florida a while longer ??

When we were young, this kind of cold started in September and lasted until May.  And we had to go outside to the privy - uphill - both ways!    These kids today don't have a clue.

I just laid in a week's worth of corn for the stove,  there's a freezer full of Ribeyes,  I'm wrapped in heavy flannel,  and faucets are set at a trickle.  Ready for a long weekend of movies - and figuring taxes!

I would venture out to WATCH the plunge.

Blanton in Mexico what a wimp! Jeremiah Dan is in the Platte River it's only - 17  degree below zero had some geese in early this morning .  Saw a Bobcat across the river about an hour ago . Dick I am just about ready for some of that Schnapps !

12/31/17 02:19 PM #7781

Dick Garrelts

Glad to hear the Plunge mini is happening.  At  -17*  I bet it is a mini -   if you catch my drift

Are you alone out there, Danny Boone?   Don't get froze in.  Nobody is coming to chop you out of the ice.

Remember, there is a fine line between tough and stupid.  It takes a lot of Schnapps to remedy the latter.  Drink up!!

New Zealand already had New Year's at 3:00 am, so there's no need for me to stay up. I can't take these hours. Besides, watching a ball drop is way too much excitement for my blood pressure.

My resolutions; Stop giving people crap on the Forum (that will be tough)

And to be more positive.  Too many times I come across as a "glass is half empty" kind of guy.  Much to be thankful for and I should rejoice. The bottom half is the best part.

Sorry Dick, the airline tickets said it was time to come home.  At least we had left the 70 degree temp on Wednesday when we went to Perkins, GA which is by Savanna to see some friends.  Cold weather was moving in and it was in the 30's and 40's.  Leaving Atlanta yesterday the pilot said it was 8 in Omaha then he goes sorry it is -8.  Boy was it cold when the shuttle picked us up to take us to the car.  Thank goodness I had found a web site that let you park at the Hilton Hotel under cover for less than any place at the airport.  When we got there they had the car out and running so it was warm.

We really had a good time.
