Thanks Barb! I couldn't remember how long he attended Kearney Schools. I think he moved before our sophomore year but I would have to check the Log for more information. I did add him to the site as a classmate and he logged in back in 2009 but he did not complete his profile.
Susie, thanks for granting Kevin access to our website. I wonder why he never set up his profile? Could be that is when he was traveling for Cabelas. In reading his obituary he definitely was a busy person.

Jerry was scheduled to have a tumor removed 3 weeks ago today according to a 69er friend of mine. Never did hear anything since. My sister attends the same church as Jerry and Cindy and the congregation prays for Jerry regularly. Did Jerry live on 6th ave. to the west of you in your youth? I remember your home on 5th. The Texas Longhorns in the SEC just doesn't sound right.
Jerry's surgery went very well and they returned home the same week. Class of '69 had their reunion on the 3rd and a few of the guys were able to see Jerry. He's doing as well as can be expected.
So very sorry to let everyone know Jerry Foote passed away, Wednesday, September 11th. Services are pending with Horner Lieske Mortuary in Kearney. Please keep Cindy and their boys, Ryan, Adam and Kevin in your prayers.
I would say to send it to the family. Horner Lieske is in charge of arrangements. I am out of town for awhile so am unable to attend Jerry's memorial service. I haven't heard if anyone is collecting money for a memorial. He was such a great person and will be missed by all who knew him. Sending prayers of comfort to Cindy and their families.
We've lost another classmate. Patti Tollefsen Beecher passed away. Her obituary has been posted on our In Memory page. Deepest condolences to her daughters Susan and Katie and her brother Doug and ther families. Thanks Joann for sending me the information.
There is a memorial for Dave Jones this Saturday Oct.12th at 10:00 am at First Presbyterian Church 4511 6th Ave. Kearney. Dave was a Kenwood Kid, a proud member of the KHS class of '69 and a great member of the Rowdy Section.
