Prayers are with Nancy McCammon Hansen at the loss of her mother.

My condolences also to Nancy. A very interesting obituary. Her parents were the first to start the tradition of flags at Kearney cemetery for Memorial Day. Now about 500 flags wave there Memorial day.

RIP Mrs. McCammon

Ron, I noticed that as well that Nancy's mom started the tradition of the flags at the cemetery. Great legacy to leave behind!

Bullet....

So very sorry about your daughter. I don't think most of us knew about it. Prayers to you and your entire family.

Also,Lanny Randolph (69er) died yesterday. He was on our wrestling team and could cut you in half with his bony hips. I am sure Schick knew him well while running cross country and track. RIP Hoot.

A big thank you to Gary Paine for being such a gracious host at his home Saturday night. Also, to Randy Brown for helping Painer organize everything. Those are two amazing guys.

It was the "Burning of the board" in honor of Dick Garrelts. I know Mimi and Jodi really appreciated it and it was great to see them both. I was really surprised to see Sally and Ellen there, but I shouldn't have been. A great bonfire with lots of burgers, hot dogs, beans and chips. Deb Cavenee made a delicious blueberry pie and I don't know who made the cherry pie.

Thanks to our classmates who were able to attend and to John Wolf and Debbie for being there too. It was a very special evening. I know Dick was there in spirit. Gone but never forgotten.

Although I wasn't able to attend, it was good to hear that there was a nice turnout at the bonfire for Dick.  I miss Dick and think about him often.  I hope everyone is doing well.

I too wanted very much to attend Dick's bonfire. We should all be as blessed as Dick was when it comes to leaving such a lasting impression on the Class of "70"...BUT there was only one # one. Like Ron said...gone but never forgotten!!

Greetings from humid South Dakota!  Joining the next decade was easier than planned.  I just put off my birthday and feel like '40 something' once again.  I told the family I'd let them know when to celebrate but not to expect to do it anytime soon.

The reunion last summer was so much fun I didn't want it to end.  Having Dick with us was the cherry on top!  I am fortunate and proud to be related to such a great group of friends.  Cheers to all, Sandi
