Only 8 weeks until we get together for our 50+1.  Looking forward to it.

Summer feels so busy after being at home for a year, live music, hanging out with friends, back to City Council chambers, a quick trip to Charlotte NC, etc.  The 8 weeks will fly at this rate...

You're right Kathi!  Eight weeks will fly by!  I registered 2 more classmates today!   Keep them coming folks.  
Just got back from a short camping trip.  Very relaxing and much needed.  My Mom has decided to move back to her condo from an assisted living facility so there is lots of work to be done over the next month!  Sweet lady turns 90 on Friday and we are having a dinner to celebrate at her condo!   Should be a fun time for herald all of us as we have not been together for any celebrations since Christmas of 2019.  The Wise clan used to have monthly birthday parties and lunch every Wednesday for whoever could make it.  COVID ruined all of that. Hope we don't wear her out too much with all the hugs and laughter!    Happy 4th everyone.

          Friday night we had a big wind storm-lots of trees and branches down!!

          UNK and the cemetary lost alot of big trees . Holiday Inn Express lost its roof.  You can hear chain saws all over town !!!    Several people had fences blow down.

          I'm just getting ready to drive out to Cottonmill to see if they had any damage.

Ready for fall - fires & smoke, and now flooding on Poudre River in burn scar areas.

Houses and lives in danger.  Hard to guess what's next.  I'm usually such a "Pollyanna" but this climate change has me worried.

I have to decide if I'm running for City Council for 4 more years in the next few weeks, big decision!

To All  -  Just checking to see Who All wants to play golf during the 50+1  -  I spoke to Danny and he said he is willing to make the arrangements but we need to know about the Number of Participants  -  Of course you are going to get my opinion and we should play in the Morning (the earlier the better to beat the heat) and we could play Friday and Saturday if that works for some of us.  The good thing is we have a couple of weeks to nail it down but let's not wait until the very last second to respond.  

We have had quite a mild Summer in Ft Worth  -  haven't hit 100* all year but that is gettinig ready to change if we can believe the Weather Men and Women.  Carol and I went to Bar Harbor, Maine (pronounced Baah Haaabaah by the locals  -  (you know how people talk a little funny) for our Anniversary Trip and got out of the heat for a few days.  Very nice area, Acadia National Park, Lobsters, Lobster Rolls, Oysters all kinds of Fresh Seafood, and the temperatures were in the 70s  -  Very nice area and truly a place to visit if your journeys take you in that direction  -  probably the only slight negative was the number of people -  they were thick as fleas and from all over the country.  Highly recommended by the Schickedanzs'.  Better get off and watch the Olympics.  GO USA!!!!  Talk to you later.

Count me in for golf on both Friday and Saturday. My game still sucks but it's always fun to play at our reunions.  The Huskers play their first football game on Saturday and I think kick off is around noon. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Anna  -  Just so you know  -  I was inducted into the Army on August 3rd  -  it has always been easy to remember Bill's Birthday.
