Looks like the forum has been stuck in low gear for awhile. Understandable with all the BS that has transpired the last 12 months or so!  Things are starting to trend back to normal here in Arizona...like getting stuck behind a school bus with the arms down on the way to golf...rush hour traffic due to people NOT working at home...having to get to a restaurant BEFORE 5:00 to avoid a wait list...being able to watch the news again because it's NOT all about COVID or politics.  Im not sure it's a good thing that I welcome these things again...but personally I will never accept a "new normal"!

Dick- I'm glad you are feeling better and getting the best treatment available out there. Look forward to your posts about, well anything;)

Danny - Our prayers go out to Deb and you for her complete recovery.

Frank - Hope you got your pool put back together. Congratulations on your first grandchild.  We don't anticipate any grandchildren  but did acquire two "grand dogs"...a Bernedoodle and a Goldendoodle. We can't imagine life without them now:)

Happy Birthday to all the March babies...you know who you are!!

Two months or 61 days from now, I will be married. I'll add Joy to Niedt.

We bought a house in Holdrege since housing is more than our budget in Kearney. George is from Ravenna. We plan on attending the 50 +1 reunion in August.
see you soon. I've had both shots & George gets his 2nd next week.

Last night I had dinner with my dancing professional that helped me win Loveland Dancing With the Stars some years ago.  He asked if I'm still dancing, sadly I had to admit I'm not...and decided to set a goal of dancing, at least at home, to a couple of songs every day.  I'm to darn sedentary these days!

Shoveling 28 inches of snow Mon Tues Wed was certainly some movement.  Not as fun as dancing.

Marcene - Congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I remember chatting with you at Cunningham's on Friday night at the 45th reunion. Happiness to you and George!

Kathi - It's been a while since I've seen snow, but as I remember, 28 inches is quite a bit. I hope you had some help moving it around. But as Dave said,  I do remember you wishing for snow!

I have to admit that when I checked the forum last night, I realized there hadn't been a lot of activity. So I decided to go to the page number button and gave it a couple of swipes down. It ended up sometime back in 2016. I read a few pages and decided to give it another couple of swipes and ended up back in 2014. It ended up being fun reading...kind of a blast to the past. That what happens when you're sipping a glass of wine on the patio, enjoying the evening and get a little nostalgic.  Confession is good for the soul😎

After hearing that a tornado went through Newnan, Georgia, I contacted Mary Guardiola this morning to see if she and her family were okay. Where they live it was untouched by the tornado. Thank goodness for their safety but thoughts and prayers are with those who were hit.

The forum has been quieter than years past.  It doesn't take as long to catch up on the news these days.  Congratulations on becoming grandparents, Frank.  It's the best and I'm sure the two of you will spoil her and then send her home to her parents!  It's a grandparents right and duty!

Congratulations to Marcene on her upcoming marriage!  Wishing you much happiness and joy!

We returned from AZ last Friday night.  Had a great trip home with beautiful weather.  I think we've finally adjusted to the two hour time change and are getting things ready for spring around the house.  I sent an email reminding everyone to get registered for the reunion.  We are moving ahead with our plans and looking forward to seeing everyone in August!  Remember to click the 50+1 Reunion link on the left side and get registered.  I think I have updated all the new registrations to paid if you had paid and left your money in our account after the cancellation.  So if you check your registration, it should be marked paid.  If not, email me and I'll get it taken care of.

Enjoy our beautiful weather.  I think it changes back to winter sometime next week!

Thank you everyone for your good wishes. We are really looking forward to May 21.
we need a real lift after this past & present year! It is exciting decorating a house again! I didn't realize how much I had collected over tge years until I started packing boxes. I still haven't touched the garage. It needs to be halfway decent to pack boxes & leave the car set outside. In Holdrege we have a garage with carport but looking to add a 2nd 2-car garage. My dogs will enjoy running in the backyard. They've been leashed since 2011.

Sue - The check is in the mail for the reunion. We just made our flight and car reservations a couple days back.  Looking forward to a good turnout for the 50+1.

Summer finally arrived in the desert today...98 degrees and the triple digits sometime next week. As soon as the pool hits 80 (this weekend), it will be official:)

Happy belated birthday to Rhonda K!!!

If you registered for the reunion last year, you will still need to register for this year's reunion!  Use the 50+1 link on the left side of the page.  If you have scrapbooks or old memorabilia you would like to share, we will have a table you can leave them on for the evening and people can reminisce about the good old days.   We hope to see lots of you back in Kearney in August.

Condolences to Cindy and Jerry Foote on the passing of her father Bob Hauver Sr. Bob was a 3 sport star at Kearney State earning 4 letters in both football and track as well as 3 letters in basketball. He coached cross country and track from 1959-1988 as well as wrestling at KSC and was a long time teacher.  He was also inducted into several halls of fame.I got to know Bob a little better when he was a volunteer assistant wrestling coach at Elm Creek and I was reffing.

He also served during World War II from 1943-1949.
