Hope everyone is well and doing fine!

Since there isn't much going on or much we can do right now - I got out my KHS logs and have been going down memory lane.  One thing I can say for certain, boy did we look young!  Looking back - who would have ever dreamed we would go through so much during our lifetimes - computers, cell phones, and so many other inventions, man on the moon, and now a pandemic!  I'm sure our grandparents can share stories of events during their lifetime as well!

Joanna  -  Thank You for your comment  -  You are correct about change  -  I had an opportunity to talk to my Grandfather before he passed away.  He traveled to Oklahoma in a Covered Wagon & Watched a Man land on the moon on a TV  -  fought in a war in France in WW1 against his Native Country   -  I asked him about his thoughts on all the change  -  very interesting conversation and I am blessed to have had that conversation.  It is also truly amazing what we have seen in our generation  -  my Great Grandmother had a TV in the 50s and we now have phones and computers that can do virtually everything and we have   4  Smart TVs in our house.  Thank God my Parents & Grandparents didn't have to see the debacle in Washington DC yesterday  -  such a disgrace to Our Great Country.  God Bless the USA.

Frank, glad you were able to have great conversations with your grandfather. He lived a lot of history in his life!
I've been upset most of 2020 watching riots in the streets and burning down businesses in the name of BLM. We are a country at odds. Social media fuels the fires and turns people against each other. I got off facebook. I was tired of facebook's censorship as well as all the fighting. Not sorry I did either.

Has anyone stayed in contact with Anne Beckmann Beerman?  Her postcard was returned so she must have moved in the last 6 months since this is the first card I have had returned for her.  Let me know if you have any information on our lost classmates.   Hope everyone is staying warm!  We are trying to decide if we should go to AZ this year or not.  Wish it wasn't a two day trip with lots of stops along the way.  Has anyone gotten their vaccine yet?  My youngest sister works at CHI Good Sam and has had both of hers.  She had no reaction to #1 but has had fever, headache, body aches and eyes swollen almost completely closed with #2.  She just had the 2nd one on Wednesday and is feeling better today.  Hope all of you are well.  Happy New Year!

Sue hope your trip to Arizona is a safe one.  The forum appears exceptionally quite over the past couple of weeks everyone must be in hibernation.  Hope everyone is well and COVID free

The forum is really quiet lately!  Maybe all the political turmoil of the last couple of weeks, maybe the cold weather is keeping everyone busy and off the forum!  We headed south the 12th and had a good trip.  Great weather and nice motel in Santa Fe.  Meals were drive through only but rest areas were open except in AZ where they are still closed.   Was 70 degrees when we arrived.  Have gone out on a few adventures and hikes the last two weeks but has been chilly and in the 40-50's range the last several days.  Still much better than all the snow at home!   We've tried to register for COVID vaccinations while we're here but it's not going to happen so will wait until we get home.  Hope all of you are safe and COVID free!

Anna- I hope your vaccination went well. You did that fast! I did just register for the vaccine on the Nebraska website they just launched. Vaccinate.ne.gov. It was simple, short and easy for once!

Susie- we went to AZ too, although we flew. So far so good.....We did all outside activités. State Parks and an arboretum, ate on outside decks, etc. It took a small bite out of January for us.

I sure do know a lot of folks that have major challenges at this time, let's all surround each of them with love and healing!

We are breaking heat records this week...I want SNOW!

Sue,  I have moved and cannot seem to change my address.  I now live at 4832 Anne Payne Ln.,  Powell, TN 37849.  Sorry I haven't been on lately been off the sight for a few months.    I am back now.

02/06/21 05:30 PM #9493

Sue Wise (Divan)

Thanks for the address update Tate.  I will change it in your profile for you.

Update on Deb-she is home from the hospital and Dan and Ryan are learning to be great nurses for her.  Prayers for continued healing for her and patience for Dan and Ryan.  Prayers too for anyone else struggling at this time!

You can have the snow Kathi!  Nebraska has single digit temps and negatives at night for the next ten days!  Brrrr!  Arizona is in the 70's and I am quite happy with that.  I did get a call this morning from my Kearney medical clinic offering to schedule my vaccine.  They'll call me again the end of March and hopefully I can get in right away.  We tried the AZ portal but could never get an appointment.  Oh well.  I still have antibodies from having Covid in August so am not too worried.  I do wear my mask and stay away from crowds so we are playing it safe.

Stay warm and healthy everyone!

Dave, you can keep Montana's snow and cold.  We've camped in WY so close to the Montana border that we went to town in MT for groceries.  I'm sure the beauty of summer is worth the cold of winter.  Leanna,  we always tour around the countryside while we're here too.  Such interesting landscape.  We went to Spur Cross Ranch near Cave Creek and saw huge saguaros!  We love going to White Tank Mountain to hike the trails and take pictures.  Tomorrow we're going to Prescott to see the lake and take pictures as well.  We try to do something different each week!   Hope everyone is doing well, staying warm and safe!
