Thanks Holly for letting us know about Roger and his wife. I got on his church website and listened to 3 of his sermons.Trinity United Methodist Church in Kimball. Roger loved cross country in high school running with Schick,Gary Stubbs and John Beezley. Thoughts and prayers with you Roger.

I contacted a lady that I know from the Gibbon area and was neighbors of Roger and his family when they were on the farm. She contacted another friend who found out today that Roger had been dismissed from the hospital and his brother Tom is taking his parents out his wife's funeral.  That is all the information she had at this time.  I'll let everyone know if I hear more.

Do any of the sports buffs remember seeing the 1983 Auburn/Georgia game? The 2011 Rangers at Cardinals? Or the 1998 Bulls vs Jazz?  That's the tv sports lineup for tonight. Looks to me like there's 50 years of "new" viewing available, so does it really matter if there are any Seasons this year?  The NFL can take a seat.  There's Cornhole Championships!

Dan, just finished a large kettle of black bean soup, oops!, strike out the B word.
I predict the wind will be flowing from the East very fast and full of knots.

I had reached out to Billy Baer's son as I had heard that he was not doing well. Brian contacted me this morning to let me know that Billy passed away last night. His battle is over and he is at peace. Hugs and prayers are with the family during this time.

Sad to hear about Billy. We shared a few "unique" experiences back in the day which make for special memories. Wish we could have made some more. Rest In peace, my friend.

To All  -  I spoke to Brian Baer this morning and he asked me to pass this on  -  There will be a Memorial Service for Billy on Saturday, July 11th and there will be a Get-Together (not necessarily a viewing) Friday, July 10th.  I will get you details as soon as I get them but you will probably get better informaiton from the newspaper.  He had just gotten all the arrangements made not long before we spoke.  Just thought you would be interested.  Talk to you later.

Dick, you piqued my curiosity with the memorable experiences you had with Billy...do tell.

I ventured out the last two weekends...made me slightly nervous but was mostly able to social distance.  Steamboat Springs, went to Strawberry Park Hot Springs.  Mountainous, my friends sons band in the park in Encampment WY,  SARATOGA WY hot springs...and a facial.   Felt so normal!
