OMG  it's only Monday morning-the days seen to be getting longer for me !!!!!

We had a little snow for the Easter rabbit here in Kearney. Now we're back to cold and wind .

I have a request ????  Could we have a different background besides the fall leaves???  Thanks

    Enjoy your day !!!!!!

Ten inches and still snowing on April 16!  Neighbors out cutting up a big branch that broke off.  I went out and beat snow off my bushes.  Spring is here.  Lol

I'm doing lots of zoom meetings,  and  note that some people dont talk as much, thankful for that.

I'm not accomplishing as much as I should during this time, oh well...

Condolences to Dave and Sharon on the passing of their mother. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Dan - just remember, you went to grade school with Kathi D and me🥴 Ron - I would have invited you for ice cream and cake, but we didn't have any. Had a zoom birthday party with my kids, sisters and their families. The best part was it was fun with no clean up😂  Eagerly waiting for it to warm back up to 70. I'm over the quarantine and the snow.  Warm sunny days makes it easier to stay at home. Be safe💙

Anna- I might be going crazy by now if I hadn’t gone to get a few buckets of paint a month ago. Have you ever picked up paint curbside? When I moved into this house, a lot of the rooms upstairs were just white. So, the white rooms will be no more when I get done with them. Then, I had been meaning to seriously start my parents picture project. This means taking all of their old black and whites, and there must be 1,000, organizing them, scanning, and then hopefully making it into a Shutterfly Book. I’m still organizing, but hope to be scanning by later this spring. Then there’s always my recipe mess, and of course planting and yard work. Who thought I’d be staying home this much, and who thought all it would take was seeing toilet paper on a shelf to make my face light up? Haha So, we’ll see how disciplined I am to continue when I’m “set free”!?! I’ll bet there’s a Jonas Salk out there working up a vaccine right now!

If today is April 28, it must be my old Zion buddy’s birthday. Happy birthday Jerry O! I hope you find a good “stay at home” way to celebrate!

Be healthy, contact some you haven’t seen for a while, and be safe.

Leanna, thanks for the birthday wishes.  Didn't do anything different . . . just another daily fight with Mrs. O! smiley

I got a text from another Zionist, Dan Blanton a couple of weeks ago.  Sounds like he is doing okay

This virus thing really sucks but so far so good . . . we all have to thank the good Lord we are not on a ventilator.  I'm looking forward to our reunion in August if we can still have it.  Stay safe and healthy everyone.

Just looked at my 401K.  I'm sure glad I don't own an oil well!

Try "social distancing" from your pet while eating a Ribeye.

Don't sweat the financials #1.  You can take some of the stock losses to offset the financial windfall you will experience farming this tax year.  The closest I got to an oil well or stock in an oil company was driving a Ford which ran on oil with some occasional gas added.  The best oil with that car was called Double Eagle at twenty five cents a quart.  It was not made of virgin oil stock but rather recycled or refiltered used oil with special additives (dye to make it look good).  I assume Jerry O. got to stay up late lastnight since it wa his Birthday and at our age making it past the evening news can be an accomplishment.

Hope everyone had a good weekend !!!!                                                                       I was working in the back yard this afternoon and and noticed two doors down the wife was giving the husband a haircut on the patio.  Then she did the three kids.  The next thing I knew she was having her husband cut her hair.(what trusting wife)

At least they didn't get a bowl out for those famous haircuts of our youth !!!

               Enjoy your week

My plan is to NOT get a haircut before the Reunion.  That should stretch the budget enough to pay my way in.

Mimi won't let me cut her hair anymore....

There were a lot of mosquito foggers out there that used Double Eagle back in the 60s.  "Fill er up with oil and check the gas."   I still wonder how many of those junk Hippie wagons actually made it to Woodstock.  Some did, because I gassed/oiled a few of them again on the way back!

Marvelous Monday to each,

Spent mother's day up in the Buckhorn Canyon enjoying a picnic.

Rain coming in, thankfully.  Love to the Beitler family.  I talked to Barb Seerley yesterday and she had a good day.

She plays Farkke online with Clayton and Vicki.

We did a 5 hour City Council meeting on Zoom last Tues.  Wonder when we will go sit together again.    Be well.

Anna- the painting is going well. Not fast, but well. Not finished, but well!  You say painting is last on your list of things to do?  Well then, I’ll  bet you’ve been doing all of the other things on your list. You could be cleaning the bugs out of the light fixtures, taking down the return air vents and washing them, sweeping out the furnace room and while you’re at it, dust the furnace, freshen up the ice cube trays, wash the shower heads, change all your passwords, give yourself a perm, cover your plants again, and go looking for green bananas. You can’t always find them green enough in the first  store.

Scott did cut my hair. Who knew he could cut a straight line, and who knew he’d charge more than my regular gal, and demand a bigger tip!

I hope all is well with everyone, and hope all are finding ways to keep busy. Maybe with some of the things above (:

Be well and be safe!

Sounds like you girls are trying to be productive during the lock-down.  I prefer to come up with ways to defy authority - like eating ice cream out of the container, posting in my underwear, and put ketchup on hot dogs.  Take that, Establishment !!

Gotta Run.  I think I saw a Murder Hornet and I'm still in my underwear...

In Tractor Supply there are signs on the floor "Stand Here".  I've seen enough Roadrunner cartoons to not fall for that one!   And I also know Tractor Supply sells Anvils.
