I was sure they were going to be green banana cream pies.

Good for Mimi getting out of here for a while. I spent some time this winter in AZ and Mexico, and thought it might be safe to come back in March and not have to face single digits. So, I’ve pulled out my Laura Ingalls Wilder books, and am reading The Long Winter. Reminds me I don’t have much to complain about. I wouldn’t have made a great pioneer. One day closer to spring!

The bananas were too green to make pies, or so she said.  She also said she had a Blizzard in Texas - at Dairy Queen.  That's just mean.

We will get to 32* on Friday.  How about a DQ mini?

Happy Birthday, Susie !!

Jerry O,  Don't give them an excuse to add another tax.  It won't lower your property taxes.  It would just be another tax.

-16* currently,  -37* windchill      I'll need to go gas up the cows.  Don't know why I put myself through this ... now I remember, somebody has to pay for Democratic Socialism (oxymoron).

Hickenlooper announced he's running for president.  I have a picture of he and I chatting, better hold onto it!  He's very likable, if that matters.  Sunny here, deceiving because its 2 degrees, brrrr.  I was under the covers most of the weekend!

Save the picture, Kathi.  We may want to use it as a dart board.

I'll plant trees this year.  Magic trees that all the free shit grows on.

I think Peter Buttigieg warrants consideration if he runs.  He tells the truth consistently and isn't a party ideologue.  Hickenlooper will forever be linked to Colorado legalization of marijuana which may cost him in some demograghics.  Both men are an easy target  for Rush and Sean followers but then I'll lean towards almost anybody they target.  No doubt the Democrats will continue to churn out Presidential hopefuls but a bigger question is when some one will emerge in the Republican party other than the Donald, if he is still el-igible at that time to run.  Today's thought,  if you are convicted of a felony can you run for President since they claim a sitting President can't be indited for crimes in office but what about crimes before?  I sure Buttigieg will be attacked for his orientation but he can say that there are no skeletons etc in his closet versus the incumbent.

I seldom post with you guys because I'm from the dark side ('69) :D

Some years ago (when Hick was Mayor of Denver), I had a glass of wine (or two) with John (pretty much all by ourselves) at an EPA event.  He's a good guy and fun to talk to, but POTUS would be way over the tips of his skis.

Rowdies Forever!

Pam Eggen (Lashley)

Classmate family.....

Please be praying for Carole Sue. She has been diagnosed with Graves Disease. She has Hyperthyroidism on steroids! Carole is down to 89 lbs. She has 5 times the amount of iodine in her Thyroid than is suppose to be due to an emergency surgery on Jan. 31st. The surgery was due to a hernia impaction. They did a CT Scan on her using iodine as contrast. Bad decision on their part. Really bad for Carole Sue! Has caused the Graves Disease to progress faster. It can be fatal.

Please pray that her doctor can get her into surgery before the 21st. That is when it is scheduled. It is a risky surgery, vocal chords can be damaged, etc. Please pray for wisdom and a steady hand for the surgeon.

Thank you Pam for passing on the concerns for CSCS.  I, probably like many others, did a fast Web search on Graves to gain some understanding.  Autoimmune diseases are more common than most people think but the outlook is much better now than in the past.  Mayo gets the headlines but from family experience the Med center in Omaha is an equal to Rochester in some of the specialty areas concerning autoimmune disorders.  This must be extremely frightening along with frustrating to have to experience a medical mishap for Carol Sue.

Thoughts and prayers for you, Carole Sue.....May God restore health to you and the medical team provide you with answers and treatment to restore your health. SO sad and sorry that you are going through difficult times.

Kathy, thinking of you as you prepare for your total knee replacement. Glad you are going to wait until after the concert....that’s my girl!! So many say that they feel 100% better after their joint replacement.

Congratulations to the Elm Creek boys basketball team on their win at State Basketball this morning....thinking the coach’s dad is pretty proud of his son and the team he coaches...right, Danny.                               Anxiously waiting spring time weather....so how accurate are the “fog counts”, Anna and Dick? The end of this never ending winter has got to be coming to an end!!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.  It has been a difficult time but your caring notes sent to me made it easier to get through it.  You all are more family than friends!

My prayers are with Carole Sue - as well as with her family and the hospital team working with her.  I pray she gets good results from the surgery and recuperation is fast.  If I can help in any way, Carole Sue please let me know!

I don't know about any of you, but I would welcome global warming!  I'm so tired of this snow it is not even funny!

We keep having fogs.

At least we'll have Daylight Saving Time ... as soon as England moves the rocks at Stonehenge to the left 1 hour.
