Leanna Fritz

I see it’s Cindy W Castillo’s birthday today. Happy 66th Cindy! A snowy April birthday for you.

Gary- I thought you lived in Buckeye. I admit now that we drove through Buckeye on our way back to San Tan Valley where my sister is a snowbird. We had been in LA, and had a great time, although Scott’s knuckles are still white from driving in that traffic. I found out this 66 year old still has some kid in her, because finally made it to Disneyland, and loved it. We went to the Reagan Presidential Library and REALLY loved that. They let you walk through Air Force One. If I lived in Buckeye ( or Grand), I would drive right back and see all of the things we missed. We’ll all look for a post on the 22nd to see if you’re still alive. And anyway, at this point we need to live somewhat vicariously.

I had coffee with Barb Seerley who is doing very well and keeping busy. She assures me Dick is doing well too! She was forced to look at some of my AZ/LA pictures. I told her the story of having a glass of wine at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Who knew  a glass of wine would cost #&@#$$$$$$ ? Not a bottle, just a glass....Barb wanted to know how much. I told her it was a sin. She still wanted to know. I made her promise to not tell Dick. I told her. She didn’t condemn, but asked if I’d do it again. I said yes.

Speaking of needing to live  vicariously, we never did hear a word from Sheri about her trip to Hawaii !

People have been contacting me lately to see if I'm still alive.    I don't know why... none of you are in my Will.

Anna,  I hope the snow count is about over.  Everybody I talk to is ready for Spring and a Mini.

Leanna,  I consider secrets to be a challenge!  I'll be talking to Barb very soon. From your post, no doubt you'll be paying for your own drinks from now on.

Kathi,  Maybe you should get on the Arnold City Council and put a stop to the earthquakes before it's too late.  Five in a week!

Happy Birthday, Cindy WC.

Gary,  You've heard the expression about birds--- and fools?  One thing about it is the Grand Canyon is 1,000 feet deep, so you'll get that much more 'free fall' for your money. Good Buy!

Boy am I glad your back Dick G. I have had several calls from people asking if I knew where you have been hiding ?  I told them we may have to put together a posse. They were all in support until I told them we will first start looking in south Texas . They said they would get back to me ? Dick the Voice is on tonight !

Sue Wise (Divan)

Glad to see you’re alive and well Dick!  Cindy WC contacted me wondering about you too!  I’ve missed lots of these posts and am trying to get caught up tonight!  Congrats on the grandson Dick!  They are always a blessing and so much fun to be around!  Gary, it would have been fun to get together with all of you while we were in AZ!  I live Grand and there are so many things for residents to do!  I think we are going to try bringing the camper down next year and see how we do staying longer than a couple of weeks!  Many of the RV parks have the same activities as Grand!  I’ve been DVR’ing the Voice so I need to get caught up on it and join in the guessing game!  You guys always do a great job picking the good ones!  Leanna, I’d be interested in how much that glass of wine was too!  When we were in CA I paid $100 for a bottle and thought that was horrible, but it was really good wine!

Congrats on those who are making plans for retirement, Schick and Joann and any others I may have missed!  Hoping Spring is on the way and we have no more snow!  Think I’ll change the background...maybe it will help!

Let's start a pool on what Leanna paid for wine.  Susie is in for $100.

Leanna,  Your secret is safe with Barb.  I tried hard, but she didn't spill.

Another earthquake at Arnold last night.

Dick - I guess I should have called sooner and saved all of us the worry lines. 😬 There is never enough of you on the forum. Hope you noticed there wasn’t a lot of activity when you decided to become a lurker. There are enough of us doing that, so stay active!!

Welcome back Dick!  I was afraid Mimi had said we're moving closer to our Grandson and you had left the country. What would you do if you couldn't eat steak and watch the snow fall?

Britton and Brynn my favs on Voice.  We didn't get anything from that last storm, saw pictures of NE, whoa!  Arnold is truly rocking this last week, don't remember EVER hearing about quakes in central NE.

Dick, when do you go to Omaha cuz maybe I'd fly in and see you, Barb, Leanna, Jerry...etc.

Loveland is truly lovely todayπŸ’–

Dick Garrelts

Sorry, Cindy.  I don't do The Voice.  If you ever heard me sing, you'll know why.   I won't be taking up wine as a hobby either.  That don't compute on a fixed income.

Hi Brownie!

Hi, Schick!

Dick- Barb won’t tell about the wine. It’s all part of girl power! Yes, when confronted with the tab, we thought about a “drink and dash” ( just kidding), but went ahead and sucked it up so to speak. Susie paying 100.00 for a bottle. Let’s see...... how many glasses to a bottle? She did better than we did I’ll say.

I’ll say happy birthday to Rhonda Vires K!

Dick - Glad to see you’re BACK!!  Drinking wine in Nebraska is rather a pricey pastime. The stuff we get here for $10 is over $20 there...don’t know why? Have you started to plant yet?

Rhonda - Happy Birthday...you don’t look a day over 29:)

Leanna - I will guess you guys paid $45 a glass for your wine?  You threw caution to the wind as soon as you walked in the door there. How many stars did you see and did they ask you for your autograph?  We do live in the city of Buckeye.  (Buckeye is close to 400 square miles in size) Our community is called Verrado...almost 8000 people.  It’s the same thing for the Sun City community’s...most of them are in the city of Surprise.

The jump went great. The only unanticipated thing to happen was a moment of fear going face first out the door and the first second of free fall. After that addrenaline took over and it was pure fun!!  It came to an abrupt end when we hit the ground with our legs straight out in a seated position (kind of hard on the butt). I will for sure do it again. Dick, Danny, Frank, whoever else...you guys N???  How about we put that down as a possible activity for the 50th reunion...only 2 short summers away!

Dick Garrelts

Gary,  The news story of the day is about a guy who got bit by a rattlesnake, a bear, and a shark. I won't jump with him either!  ... or stand next to him in a thunderstorm.

I won't golf with Schick, nor will I drink wine with Leanna.

I've lived this long because I DIDN'T do any of that stuff.

Leanna,  Did the tab include tax and tip ?  I want to be clear on the details before I make my guess.  I'll submit my entry on Thursday ... after I see Barb.

Kathi Geiser (Wright)

Had a nice time in the mountains yesterday, a hike, snack, visit with best friend, Joan.  Some planning for a little community of old ladies we plan to create.  Its 20 minutes from Loveland, so could be a problem for anyone with health challenges.  Well see who wants in.

04/23/18 05:14 PM #7925

Leanna Fritz

Kathi - sounds like fun - moving to Loveland (:    Only Yuma has more sun than Loveland? Something like that....

Gary - Happy you’re still alive, and just ended up with a sore bottom. Dick won’t drink wine with me, or jump with you , but I bet he’ll drink a beer and eat green bananas with both of us.

Dick- I know what you’re trying to do. Get her to mention the tax amount so you can figure the tab. Tax included, tip not included. Barb won’t talk.

04/24/18 01:42 PM #7926

Dick Garrelts

Leanna,  It's not that I don't want to drink with you, it's just that I don't want to have a stroke when the check comes.

Green bananas and a beer with Gary sounds good - that is if you don't try to get even with him for the snake in the glovebox incident. I don't want to accidentally catch a beer bottle along side the head.

How about you get Geiser and we'll do lunch ... my favorite sandwich!

Dick Garrelts

Vicki B.   One weather forecast is for a possibility of snow ???  I've had all the snow and ribeyes I can stand for this season.  Just in case, I got some SPAM.

But don't tell Tiger. I don't want to have him get snowed-in here.
