You are correct, Frank.

I couldn't keep my resolution.  Had to give Anna some crap!

On a positive note; it's colder today than yesterday...and closer to Spring!

Best wishes to Blanton on his ear procedure.

Let me see if I got this straight, Anna.  If I give YOU crap, that's a good thing?  Then my resolution is still intact - more or less.

I hope I didn't blow it with the Blanton comment.

Talking about Sh*t-holes I think the current cold weather qualifies Nebraska!  We got up Monday morning and furnace not working.  51 degress in the house and -2 outside. Got furnace fixed by noon but it got down to 46.  Holy crap how did the pioneers handle this?  Hoping to make it for the KHS basketball game on the 26th.  See everyone then.

Good job Jerry O having that pioneer spirit who needs heat this time of year ?  Did you happen to go outside do a snow polar plunge . Make sure you have some schnapps close by see ya on the 26th .

Get tough or die, Jerry.  Maybe this is why life expectancy for Pioneers was 35.  Obviously weren't very many of them drawing Social Security.

On a positive note, Social Security was solvent then.

How about getting the Cheerleaders for Rowdy Nite ???  Sure would be better than looking at Danny and Schick in a wig and a mini skirt.

Come on, Girls!  A simple "Two bits, four bits..." should be easy enough.  I'll even furnish the Cherry Vodka, if that's what it takes.

Omg...cherry slow gin is how I ended up with a big scar on my knee senior year.  I turned an (unsuccessful) cartwheel on a gravel road at Joanell Glasser's I believe.  You could ask drill team gals to represent, there's more of us.

Dick Garrelts

Sloe Gin it is, Kathi.  Good idea for you to volunteer the Drill Team.  How many gallons of Gin will it take to get all you Girls to do cartwheels?  I'm not concerned about cost. No doubt ALL the guys will chip in for this!!

Had planned to do Cheese Frenchees for Rowdy Nite, but with the game and all, maybe pulled pork would be a more convenient meal.  I found a neat sounding recipe I want to try out. Sounds good. As I recall, BBQ pork was the favorite at the Testicle Festival ( no explanation necessary )

Only thing is, golf with pulled pork just don't zing like the other white meat - if you catch my drift.  May have a tendency to slice.

Kathi - I too remember slo gin, kind of... it involved Rick Christensen’s car at the drive in and some motion sickness at some point on the way to Kearney Lake.  That is the reason I haven’t drank hard liquor since:)

Danny and Dick - I was/am seriously considering a break from chasing the little white ball and coming to the Rowdy celebration...but I made the mistake of checking the forecast for those days.  I don’t think I can handle single digits anymore, even though they’re the lows!  That being said, I have a feeling this is one that shouldn’t be missed...ya never know!!

Frank - Are you getting any closer to semi-retirement?

I looked for cherry sloe gin a couple years ago, and never did find any. Lots of other flavors available though.

I too remember drinking cherry sloe gin . . . . and vaguely remember sneaking a bottle of it into the World Theater with Blanton and Baer and maybe mixing it with coke. Ah . . . those were the days!

Dick, I think BBQ pork and cherry sloe gin is the perfect combination for a pregame warm-up!

This would be a good day for all the Lurkers to post something.

Like how many times did you see the "My Pillow" commercial while eating Twinkies and watching Andy Griffith reruns.

Or how you lost electricity and kept warm by having Blizzard sex.               (well maybe not that one)

It would also be a good day to call somebody and invite them to come to ROWDY NITE.

OK, I'll go first.   18 times.   Lost power at 3:30 this morning for 3 1/2 hours.  Does anybody want the details?

Dick  -  As we talked the other day - unfortunately I will not be able to make Rowdy Night  - just not in the cards.  I am certain you guys can party without me  -  wish I could though.

Gary  -  Yes  -  I am still working and have given them notice that I will be leaving the employment of Hubbell at the end of this year  -  if they make it that long  -  I am OVER IT - if you catch my drift.  Still trying to figure out some dates for Phoenix Mini  -  I'm going skiing the end of February  -  I believe April was when we hooked up last year.  I'll be in touch.

Kathi  -  I am sure your Constituents are unaware of the reason behind your scar  -  Cherry Sloe Gin  -  you know all the guys used to think they were going to get lucky if the Girls would just drink enough of it  -  instead WE got sick or as Gary called it -  got "motion sickness".  That being said  -  I better get some beauty rest - I need it.  Talk to you later.

FLS  (Schick)

If I didn't have a council retreat all day Saturday, I'd be at this mini.   Maybe when it's above freezing.  We only got four inches from the storm, it was really  lovely.  I just found out, as the reigning champion, I get to judge this years Dancing with the Stars here in Loveland.  Its not until summer this year, but already excited.

Just saw movie Three Billboards , wow, Francis McDermond was amazing.

Dick-how long did Kearney lost power-3 hours or more you say & how much snow? We got lucky here in the BIG O-on the edge of it-Fremont got about 7" and we only had about 2-3"-mostly freezing drizzle & ice then snow-blowing around alot but not as cold as before-still ready for Spring but know almost 2 months yet-stay warm!
